Craning my neck up towards the sky, eyes wide, ears flooded with the sounds of CRACKLE-BANG-FIZZLE-FIZZLE-BANG-SHHHHHHHHhhhh and then a collective "woooah" and wild applause from the crowd. Then a milder applause as people quickly pack up their picnic rugs and small children and rush to the nearest exit because they want to leave the city before everyone else does.
